Associate Veterinarian

About the role

Eastern Shore Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time or part-time urgent care veterinarian to join their dedicated staff in North Carolina’s beautiful Outer Banks. They expanded their services to include urgent care in June 2023, operating Saturday and Sunday from 8 am to 8 pm. These are single-doctor shifts, seeing a variety of medical and surgical cases. More critical patients are referred to 24-hour facilities.

Responsibilities

• See a variety of medical and surgical cases
• Work some weekend hours (Saturday and Sunday)
• Occasional weekday primary care shifts
• Relief veterinarians are encouraged to contact us

Requirements

• Current North Carolina license
• Experience in urgent care preferred
• Strong communication skills

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

• Effective communication skills
• Comfortable with emergency medicine
• Good interpersonal skills

Pay

No negative accrual base salary with bonus production

Schedule

Single doctor shifts on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and occasional weekday primary care shifts, depending on interest in part-time or full-time positions. Relief veterinarians are encouraged to contact us.
