Associate Veterinarian

About the role

We are seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join our team at VCA Commonwealth Animal Hospital. Founded over 40 years ago, we are a well-established small animal veterinary practice dedicated to providing high-quality care to our clients and their pets.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive veterinary care to cats and dogs
• Perform routine and complex medical procedures
• Conduct diagnostic tests using digital radiography, dental radiography, and portable ultrasound
• Collaborate with a supportive team to ensure the best possible care for our patients
• Continuously learn and stay updated with the latest veterinary practices and technologies

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university or equivalent
• Licensure in good standing to practice in Virginia, or the ability to obtain licensure
• A commitment to practicing the highest standards of veterinary medicine

Qualifications

• Experience in small animal medicine and surgery
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay

The annual salary range for this position is $130k - $150k, dependent on experience. Salary is negotiable based on experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, and other relevant credentials.

Schedule

Full-time hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 6:00 pm; Saturday, 8:00 am - 12:00 pm; Sunday, closed.
