Associate Veterinarian

About the role

We are seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join our team at VCA Cat Hospital of Philadelphia. Located in the heart of the Rittenhouse district, we are a cat-only practice with a rich history and modern facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality veterinary care to cats
• Participate in ongoing professional development and education
• Mentor students and new graduates
• Collaborate with a supportive team
• Work flexible hours, typically part-time

Requirements

• A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university or equivalent
• Licensure in good standing to practice in Pennsylvania, or the ability to obtain
• A commitment to practicing the highest standards of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics

Qualifications

• Experience in providing comprehensive veterinary care
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Skills

• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Effective communication with clients and colleagues
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems

Pay

Salary is negotiable based on experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, and other relevant credentials.

Schedule

Part-time hours: Monday - Thursday: 7am - 7pm, Friday: 8am - 5pm, Saturday: 9am - 3pm
