Merrimac Valley Animal Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Description Associate Veterinarian to join our dedicated team. Founded in 1968, we are committed to providing exceptional patient care through progressive medicine and genuine compassion.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive veterinary care to a variety of animal species
- Perform routine and complex medical procedures under the supervision of licensed veterinarians
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical assessment and diagnostic results
- Conduct regular health check-ups and vaccinations
- Communicate effectively with clients to ensure understanding of treatment plans and home care instructions
- Participate in professional development activities to stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA-accredited institution
- Current Massachusetts license to practice veterinary medicine
- Experience in a clinical setting preferred but not required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Passing scores on the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE)
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Positive attitude and ability to handle stressful situations calmly
