About the role
South Sioux Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join their growing team in South Sioux City, Nebraska.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality medical care, diagnostics, and treatment for companion animals
- Perform routine and complex medical examinations and develop treatment plans
- Perform soft tissue surgery and dental procedures (orthopedic procedures based on experience)
- Prescribe medications and recommend preventive care protocols
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care
- Collaborate closely with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure excellent patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate medical records within AVImark
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented practice culture
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) from an accredited veterinary school
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in Nebraska (within 60-days of start date)

- Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Career-minded and interested in practicing high-quality medicine and developing long-term client relationships
- Positive, collaborative approach to patient care and teamwork
Skills & Competencies
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- AVImark experience preferred but not required
