Associate Veterinarian

Responsibilities

- Provide excellent patient care by performing physical examinations, diagnosing and treating diseases, and providing preventive care. - Utilize a problem-based approach to develop comprehensive treatment plans. - Document all patient observations, findings, treatments, and diagnoses in the medical record. - Perform routine and complex surgical and dental procedures. - Lead and mentor a team of veterinary technicians and support staff. - Participate in rounds and disseminate knowledge throughout the hospital. - Ensure patient safety and comfort at all times.

Requirements

- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school. - Active licensure as a veterinarian without contingencies in the state where the hospital is located. - Current DEA and Controlled Substance licenses, if applicable. - USDA Category I (minimum) accreditation or completion within two months of hire.

- Comfortable performing anesthesia and routine surgeries. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Compassionate and sympathetic attitude. - Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments.
