Associate Veterinarian

We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Associate Veterinarian to join an AAHA-accredited, state-of-the-art hospital in Fairfield, CT. Responsibilities

• Examine and diagnose diseases and injuries of pets (primarily dogs and cats), and treat surgically or medically.
• Collaborate within the veterinary ecosystem and communicate with referring veterinarians.
• Participate in ongoing education, seminars, and training to stay current in the field.
• Work with a Regional Operations Manager and Hospital Manager to achieve high standards and provide superior patient care.
• Administer core vaccinations and counsel clients on well-pet care.
• Perform dental procedures.
• Contribute to a positive workplace environment for staff, clients, and pets.
• Excel in time management, task prioritization, and thriving in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• 2+ years of experience in a veterinary hospital setting preferred; new graduates will be considered.
• Internship training preferred but not required.
• Eligible to obtain a Connecticut State Veterinary License.
