Associate Veterinarian

About the role

Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of a pet adoption center. Oversee the placement of pets in suitable homes and ensure compliance with local animal welfare regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily care and health of adopted pets
• Facilitate adoptions by coordinating with potential pet owners
• Ensure all adoptions comply with local animal welfare laws
• Manage the budget and resources of the adoption center
• Develop and implement training programs for staff and volunteers

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Psychology, or related field
• At least 3 years of experience in animal care and management
• Experience in pet adoption and fostering
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Qualifications

• Knowledge of animal behavior and welfare
• Experience with animal rescue organizations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay

Salary range: $45,000 - $60,000 annually
