Associate Veterinarian

At Chewy Vet Care, we're revolutionizing veterinary care. We're seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join our Healthcare Practice Team. You'll work in a practice designed by veterinarians, equipped with advanced tools and technology to provide top-notch care.

Responsibilities

• Empower clients to have an exceptional experience by resolving their needs and wishes.
• Perform physical examinations, diagnostic, medical, surgical, and dental procedures to deliver high-quality care.
• Master medical skills and perform basic surgery.
• Communicate physical examination findings and develop a treatment plan for pets.
• Educate clients on preventative health care, including vaccines and nutritional products.
• Maintain accurate medical and surgical records and collaborate with colleagues for follow-up and future care.
• Stay updated with new medical information and participate in continuing education.
• Aid in developing the paraprofessional team to ensure high-quality care.
• Represent the clinic positively in the professional community and to the public.
• Support Veterinary Technicians and Assistants as needed.
• Participate in self-development courses and comply with Chewy Vet Care’s required training.
• Oversee operating, safety, and compliance procedures as required by law and company policies.

Requirements

• A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD) degree is required.
• Active State license in good standing, DEA license, and other state credentials as required.
• 2-3 years’ experience in general medicine and surgery; residency or internship training is preferred.
• 2 years of supervised experience with veterinary radiation machines.
• Multi-task with integrity and accountability, possess outstanding listening and problem-solving skills, and have strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and passionate about helping both people and pets.
• Physical requirements include standing or walking up to 80% per shift, frequently lifting up to 70 pounds, and occasionally lifting more than 70 pounds.

Pay

The base salary for this role ranges from $124,500 to $199,000 annually.
