About the Role

Caring Hands Veterinary Hospital is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join our growing team. This role offers a supportive environment to practice high-quality medicine while maintaining work-life balance. You’ll work alongside a highly experienced, ultra-collaborative clinical team in a newly remodeled, state-of-the-art facility.

Our hospital is independently owned and operated by Dr. Amber Herron, DVM, a respected member of the local veterinary community. The practice is led by:

• Dr. Amber Herron, DVM (Kansas State University, 2006)
• Dr. Erika Cantamessa, DVM (Washington State University, 2006)

We use cloud-based practice management software (Shepherd) for flexible record completion and AI-assisted exam documentation to reduce time spent on medical records.

Our newly redesigned 16,000 sq. ft. hospital (completed in 2023) features:

• Ample treatment space
• Two dedicated surgery suites
• A dedicated dentistry suite
• Modern, well-maintained equipment
• In-house childcare for staff children (projected opening in 2026)

Schedule & Workflow

We operate on twenty-minute appointment blocks with a two-hour mid-day break to allow for lunch, catch-up time, and a sustainable pace throughout the day.

Requirements

• A licensed veterinarian in good standing with the State of Montana (or license-eligible)
• Commitment to practicing high-quality, evidence-based medicine and surgery

• Enjoys a collaborative environment where colleagues learn from one another

Clinical experience level is flexible—we welcome both seasoned veterinarians and new graduates.

• Three veterinarians
• One practice manager

• Three receptionists
