About the role

Animal Clinic of Muskegon is seeking an Associate Veterinarian (DVM) to join our compassionate and collaborative small animal practice in Muskegon, Michigan. We welcome veterinarians of all experience levels, including new graduates seeking mentorship and experienced DVMs looking for a supportive team environment. Responsibilities

  • Perform physical examinations and develop treatment plans for companion animals
  • Diagnose and treat medical conditions in dogs and cats
  • Perform routine surgical and dental procedures
  • Educate clients on preventive care and treatment recommendations
  • Collaborate with veterinarians and support staff to provide exceptional patient care
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
  • Build lasting relationships with clients and their pets

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary school
  • Licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Michigan, or eligible to obtain licensure
  • Ability to provide high-quality medical care for companion animals
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and client service skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
  • Commitment to compassionate patient care and exceptional client experiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in small animal general practice
  • Surgical and dental proficiency
  • Interest in preventive medicine and wellness care
  • Desire to mentor or be mentored in a collaborative environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate treatment recommendations and medical information to clients

Schedule

  • Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
