About the role

The Amazon Canada's Hardlines team is seeking a self-driven Associate Vendor Manager to support our Vendor Management team and our vendor partners. You'll work with strategic vendors to drive business growth, analyze data to identify key brands, build long-term relationships, resolve operational and business issues, and lead negotiations on Amazon's behalf. You'll play a critical role in managing strategic and established brands to drive profitability and topline performance (P&L) for your category/brands. Key job responsibilities

As a Vendor Manager, your typical day involves cultivating vendor relationships to drive long-term business growth, negotiating contracts and developing Joint Business Plans with vendors, analyzing category metrics to prepare for weekly business reviews, collaborating with vendors and internal teams to expand product selection, finalizing promotional plans for upcoming events, working with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new product features, identifying and executing strategies to improve sales and margins, and creating and refining customer experiences to maintain best-in-class standards.

Basic qualifications

  • 1+ years of account management, project or program management or buying experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience using Excel and other business analytic tools

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with software and editing tools (including HTML, Excel and SQL)
  • Experience in online retail
  • Experience using analytical specific tools such as Google Analytics, SQL or HTML
  • Usage of generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency, with a willingness to learn effective prompting and evaluation practices.
  • Ability to recognize opportunities where generative AI could enhance products, workflows, or customer experiences.

Pay

Base salary range: USA, WA, Seattle - 80,200.00 - 94,000.00 USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
