Job Description
Ares Real Estate Equity's team has extensive real estate private equity experience globally. They manage over $90 billion in AUM across various investment vehicles, focusing on core/core-plus, value-add, and opportunistic strategies.
Essential Duties
- Create detailed and complex financial underwriting models for real estate investments
- Perform asset-level and market-level due diligence
- Understand the capital structure and business plan of a deal and identify key risks
- Understand physical characteristics of properties and their competitive advantages/disadvantages
- Identify demand drivers for a project and gather market information
- Critically assess the execution ability of the development team
- Communicate conclusions to senior management
Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Bachelor’s Degree or international equivalent in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or related field with exceptional academic credentials
- 2-4 years of finance experience, preferably in real estate investment banking or private equity
- High level of expertise in Excel; ARGUS proficiency helpful but not required
- Self-motivated and driven, able to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment
- Willingness and ability to travel
- Expertise in PowerPoint
- Problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and impeccable integrity
Compensation
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $155,000.00 - $175,000.00. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus. Ares offers robust benefits including medical, dental, vision, retirement, life insurance, disability, EAP, and commuter benefits.
