Associate, Transaction Manager

About the role

VWH Capital Management, LP is an SEC-registered investment advisor and private equity firm focused on the U.S. distressed residential mortgage space. With $3.3B in assets under management, VWH seeks to generate long-term returns in securitized products, distressed credit, and whole loans.

The firm was founded in 2014 and certified as a Minority- and Women-Owned Business. VWH manages all investment functions in-house — from sourcing and due diligence to asset management. The firm has completed 14 securitization deals and serves a broad base of institutional investors.

Responsibilities

• Manage investment activities in distressed residential mortgage space.
• Participate in sourcing and due diligence processes.
• Work closely with institutional investors to manage assets.
• Contribute to the development and execution of investment strategies.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in distressed residential mortgage investments.
• Experience in managing and analyzing distressed credit and whole loan portfolios.
• Strong understanding of financial modeling and valuation techniques.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
• Professional certifications such as CFA or CPA preferred.
• Proven track record in successful investment management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with financial modeling software (e.g., Excel).
