Associate - Trademark

About the role

BakerHostetler is seeking a Trademark Associate to join its nationally recognized Intellectual Property practice group. The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of trademark experience, including experience in global brand protection, trademark counseling, prosecution, clearance, licensing, and enforcement, including cease and desist letters, notice-and-takedown procedures, TTAB actions, foreign oppositions, UDRP disputes, and federal litigation. The candidate should have a demonstrated ability to manage complex U.S. and global trademark portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex U.S. and global trademark portfolios
• Experience in global brand protection, trademark counseling, prosecution, clearance, licensing, and enforcement
• Handle cease and desist letters, notice-and-takedown procedures, TTAB actions, foreign oppositions, UDRP disputes, and federal litigation

Requirements

• Excellent academic credentials, including a J.D. from a nationally recognized and accredited law school
• Strong research, writing, and oral skills
• The ability to manage a fast-paced, global and complex workload and docket while maintaining priorities and anticipating issues
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
• The professional commitment and interpersonal skills necessary to interact with clients and succeed in a collaborative team environment

• Admitted to practice law in the state where the candidate will reside

• Cleveland, OH: $225,000 - $260,000
• Columbus, OH: $225,000 - $260,000
• Denver, CO: $225,000 - $260,000
• Los Angeles, CA: $285,000 - $370,000
• Orange County, CA: $285,000 - $370,000
• Orlando, FL: $285,000 - $370,000
• San Francisco, CA: $285,000 - $370,000
• Seattle, WA: $285,000 - $370,000
