Associate, TMT Corporate Coverage
About the role
Provide support to the Senior Bankers (“SB”) in their regular marketing/calling program. Develop content and own the pitch book process in close coordination with product teams. Develop product understanding and expertise with product specialists. Prepare projection models and design capital structure recommendations for clients. Grow sectorial expertise and serve as internal thought leadership resource for BNP Paribas globally. Contribute to the initial credit assessment to determine the opportunities worth pursuing. Stay up to date on key industry trends and the ongoing convergence across TMT (technology, media, and telecommunications sector) as part of the team’s prospecting effort. Create strategic sector and/or client presentation materials, with SB guidance, for both domestic and international review. Manage all client matters related to KYC, due diligence, Compliance, CSR, etc.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (US or Foreign Equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration and four (4) years of experience in Investment Banking or Technology & Telecom Sector OR Master's degree (US or Foreign Equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration and two (2) years of experience in Investment Banking or Technology & Telecom Sector.
- Must have two (2) years of experience with: Financial Modeling – Preparing complex financial models (i.e. comp set analysis, DCF model) using CapitalIQ and Microsoft Excel; Equity Capital Markets – Leading and supporting execution and origination of capital markets transactions.
- Must have one (1) year of experience with: Financial Analysis – Conducting in-depth analysis on TMT clients’ financial statements to assess valuation drivers and capital allocation strategy using CapitalIQ and Microsoft Excel; Accounting – Leading internal audits of various verticals at Vertex and assessing financial statements across TMT clients.
- FINRA Registration: Series 79, Series 63, and SIE.
Qualifications

Pay
$179,088 - $200,000/year
Schedule
9am to 5pm, 40 hours a week. (Monday – Friday)
