Responsibilities

  • Performs journey-level professional casework and clinical services with mentally and emotionally disturbed clients
  • Affirms and monitors clients’ behaviors while in treatment for chemical and alcohol abuse and dependency
  • Works as a team member with other professionals
  • Participates in evaluative and diagnostic staff conferences
  • Conducts individual, family, and group therapy; interviews clients and relatives
  • Participates in collaborative treatment with representatives of other agencies
  • Prepares verbal, written, and statistical reports
  • Attends conferences, workshops, and training to maintain current awareness of mental health methodologies and issues
  • Operates a personal computer and other office equipment
  • Communicates effectively with others in person and over the telephone
  • Analyzes data, interprets directions, procedures and regulations, and develops appropriate responses
  • Performs job duties under stressful conditions
  • May be assigned some lead and special work coordination responsibilities

Requirements

  • Must obtain and maintain a license as a mental health professional regulated by a state board (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC)
  • Must possess a master’s degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, or counseling
  • Must possess a current CPR and First Aid certification
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License

SkillsVery familiar with HIPAA/client confidentiality and personal rights
  • Knowledgeable about substance abuse and mental health issues
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in using computers and office equipment
  • Ability to manage stress and handle challenging situations

    Full-time: Monday- Friday
