Associate Test Technician (2nd Shift)
About the Role
Element has an opportunity for an Associate Test Technician to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team in one of the various laboratories, this position performs routine and non-routine testing assignments, ensuring timely and accurate test results under direct supervision. The role requires proficiency in core business skills, including compliance with safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.
Salary: $25–$30/hr (DOE) + $1 shift differential
Schedule: 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Work independently periodically throughout the workday with supervision.
- Understand daily tasks and take initiative to complete them properly and on time without needing constant direction from Senior/Principal Technicians or management.
- Read and interpret customer specifications to perform required testing.
- Develop the ability to set up and perform a variety of tests according to customer specifications under the supervision and technical input of Senior/Principal Technicians.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of laboratory safety.
- High school diploma or GED certificate preferred; college or vocational school coursework welcomed.
- 0–2 years’ experience in a testing-related field.
- Basic understanding of testing concepts.
- Proficiency in computer skills; ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry is a plus.
Physical Demands
- Frequency of required physical force: Minimum (moderate).
- Lifting requirements: Frequently lift under 50 lbs. and occasionally lift over 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Periodic lifting of 50+ lbs.
