Associate Test Automation Developer

This is a 100% remote role as an Associate Test Automation Developer, partnering with BBW development, DevOps, product and vendor teams to establish and implement test automation frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement high quality, flexible and scalable test frameworks and automated tests in support of a variety of testing activities.
- Work collaboratively with Development, QA, Product and vendor teams for new functional and performance test development in support of all project and application initiatives.
- Help in our continuous testing and Shift Left testing efforts by integrating automated tests into the CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor test execution (automated) and report quality.
- Challenge the status quo every day and never stop improving test automation tools, coverage and quality.
- Coordinate and manage/influence multiple vendors involved in delivery of our omni-channel capability.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Product Delivery leads to support testing of initiatives.
- Develop continuous improvement plans for existing application changes to include test strategy, resource loading, and advancement of test automation.
- Conduct interviews, evaluate candidates, and onboard new resources.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software development experience with at least 4+ years focused in test automation and frameworks.
- Demonstrated proficiency in one or more programming languages like Python (Most Preferred), Java etc.
- Strong experience with REST API test automation and GraphQL Testing tools / frameworks (Postman, Py-Requests module - Most preferred, REST Assured etc.)
- Strong experience with Web (UI) Automation testing frameworks (PyTest - Most Preferred), Playwright - most preferred, Selenium, Cucumber etc.)
- Demonstrated proficiency with two or more open-source test automation frameworks like, Rest Api clients (Requests - Py module most preferred) etc.
- Familiar with progressive test automation techniques like BDD (Behavior Driven Development), POM (page object model), OOP (object-oriented programming), test containerization, test parallelization.
- Proficient with version control systems like Git and source code control management techniques like branching, commits, rebase, code review, merging etc.
- Experience automating tests for various types of testing: UI, Integration, API, Database, Performance etc.
- Experience with automating Web applications, backend services, REST interfaces, third party integrations.
- Familiar with at least one public cloud interface like AWS/GCP/Azure.
- Passionate about software quality, test automation and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Test Automation experience in a Retail environment (preferred).
- 3rd party digital e-commerce platform experience such as IBM Sterling OMS, Radial OMS, Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC).
- Knowledge of standard methodologies and IT operations in an always-up, always-available business-critical service.
- Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, or Extreme Programming methodologies.
- Related software development tools such as Jira, Confluence, Rally, TFS etc.
Education
Bachelor's degree required; preferred in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering.
Pay
Pay Range - $73,000 - 107,800.
