About the role

The role of a Laboratory Resources Associate Technician is to provide support work, care and daily observation of animals to ensure continued accreditation through AAALAC and the availability of Emergent's unique stock of guinea pigs for product-related testing. This position requires weekend, holiday, and as needed overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Operation of autoclaves/cage washers/rack washers, including manual cleaning of caging and facilities as required.
  • Daily care of animals (feeding, watering, observing), cleaning cages, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the animal area, and documenting completed tasks.
  • Performance of technical assignments in animal care such as weighing animals, recording weights, performing identification techniques, and euthanasia.
  • Perform basic document review.
  • Aid in training of routine activities based on department needs.

Requirements

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, and PowerPoint is preferred.
  • Experience working with animals, particularly in a laboratory animal environment preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Benefits

U.S. Base Pay Ranges and Benefits Information: The estimated annual base salary as a new hire for this position ranges from $34,000 to $41,200. Additional benefits can be found here.
