Associate Technician- Equipment Operator - Reach Truck/Cherry Picker

About the role

The Associate Technician Shipping/Receiving & Distribution is responsible for the incoming and outgoing of materials, reagents, instruments, or equipment to meet customer expectations. This on-site role is part of the Distribution Center team in Hebron, KY, reporting to the Distribution Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Receives and stores product, picks and packs product for shipment, and ships orders.
• Inspects materials for orders, verifying accurate quantity, lot number, expiration dates, and product part number.
• Creates and/or ensures appropriate documentation is completed for orders.
• Reconciles inventory and may perform cycle counts and data entry functions as assigned.
• May operate powered industrial equipment such as power jacks, forklifts, cherry pickers, and/or reach trucks.
• Identifies and solves routine problems in the work area with the management team.
• Assists the management team on organizational improvement projects such as lean and quality initiatives.

Requirements

• High school degree (or equivalent) with 0-2 years of experience.
• Strong attention to detail and safety in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.

Physical/Environment Requirements

• Lifting: Up to 50 lbs, multiple times during an 8-to-10-hour shift.
• Push/Pull/Bend/Twist: Multiple times, up to 2 to 4 hours continuously during an 8-to-10-hour shift.
• Standing/Walking: Approximately 2 to 4 hours continuously during an 8-to-10-hour shift; 0% sitting.
• Environment: Exposure to cold (35–46 degrees F) for approximately 2.5 hours continuously during an 8-to-10-hour shift. Provided PPE includes insulated/high-visibility jacket, gloves, and hand-warming packs.

Preferred Experience

• An environment where overtime and working in different departments is a regular occurrence.
• Fast-paced warehouse environment.
