Associate Technician

Responsibilities

• Act as “our customer’s best service provider”, ensuring SIGNET is the customer’s first choice for service.
• Assist in the completion of healthcare communication, security, and other low-voltage electronic systems testing and inspections.
• Assist in the creation of reports to identify problems or discrepancies resulting from inspections.
• Complete reports and paperwork associated with inspections.
• Interact with client representatives prior to, during, and after completion of the testing process.
• Assist with the review of report results and next steps as necessary.
• Share reports with other departments to resolve issues or discrepancies.
• Ensure proper testing equipment and materials are onsite for effective and safe testing and inspection.
• Support lead service technicians in system moves, adds, and changes (as required).
• Act as a lead on smaller system tests after proper training is completed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to participate in training and development to grow into a Systems Technician role.
• Developing exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
• Basic math skills.
• Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Good English speaking and reading skills.
• Must be a strong communicator and comfortable communicating directly with clients.
• An interest (or passion!) for technology.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Available to work off-hours shifts to accommodate client access.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in one or more of the following industries: electronic/electrical, fire alarm & life safety, AV, security, or other low-voltage systems.
• Basic ability to read and understand building blueprints and design drawings.

Pay

The hourly pay range for this position is $22–$31 per hour. Starting pay will be determined based on qualifications, experience, education, skills, certifications, and internal equity.
