Associate Technician

Responsibilities
- Act as “our customer’s best service provider”, ensuring SIGNET is the customer’s first choice for service.
- Assist in the completion of healthcare communication, security, and other low-voltage electronic systems testing and inspections.
- Assist in the creation of reports to identify problems or discrepancies resulting from inspections.
- Complete reports and paperwork associated with inspections.
- Interact with client representatives prior to, during, and after completion of the testing process.
- Assist with the review of report results and next steps as necessary.
- Share reports with other departments to resolve issues or discrepancies.
- Ensure proper testing equipment and materials are onsite for effective and safe testing and inspection.
- Support lead service technicians in system moves, adds, and changes (as required).
- Act as a lead on smaller system tests after proper training is completed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Willingness to participate in training and development to grow into a Systems Technician role.
- Developing exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
- Basic math skills.
- Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Good English speaking and reading skills.
- Must be a strong communicator and comfortable communicating directly with clients.
- An interest (or passion!) for technology.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Available to work off-hours shifts to accommodate client access.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in one or more of the following industries: electronic/electrical, fire alarm & life safety, AV, security, or other low-voltage systems.
- Basic ability to read and understand building blueprints and design drawings.
Pay
The hourly pay range for this position is $22–$31 per hour. Starting pay will be determined based on qualifications, experience, education, skills, certifications, and internal equity.
