About the role
Responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining equipment in surface or finish areas of lab production, ensuring efficient lens manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Perform production tasks on specified equipment following established procedures.
- Interpret Rx work tickets and set up equipment for daily use.
- Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshoot malfunctions, and advise supervisors on repairs.
- Prepare solutions and slurry mixtures for lens production, ensuring supplies are available.
- Calibrate equipment regularly and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Communicate effectively across teams, follow safety and company policies, and maintain confidentiality.
- Assist colleagues, provide training, and perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to multi-task, pay attention to detail, and operate in a fast-paced setting.
- Basic math skills and ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to undergo safety training due to exposure to hazardous substances.
