About the role

Data Center is a department within CBRE Learning and Development. The role serves as a technical learning ambassador, facilitating training programs and supporting onboarding for data center technicians, with a focus on low-voltage and structured cabling systems. This position is located in either Westerville, OH or Indianapolis, IN.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate technical training programs and support onboarding for data center technicians, emphasizing low-voltage and structured cabling systems.
  • Teach low-voltage electrical fundamentals, cable pulling and routing, termination, splicing, and testing.
  • Develop and deploy scalable, high-impact training solutions that prepare technicians for safe and consistent work in live data center environments.
  • Conduct training assessments to evaluate technical skills and provide remediation and coaching.
  • Translate field-level processes into clear, repeatable, technician-friendly training content.
  • Audit and evaluate learning programs to ensure consistent delivery, compliance, and quality across regions.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives by explaining complex technical concepts in clear, actionable terms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-5 years of hands-on experience with low-voltage electrical and structured cabling work, including cable pulling and routing, termination, splicing, and patching.
  • Direct experience working in data center or mission-critical environments strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
  • Working knowledge of data center infrastructure, pathways, racks, and cabling standards.
  • Ability to analyze technical workflows and translate them into structured learning solutions.
  • Strong organizational and instructional design skills with attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • Currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.

Skills

  • Working knowledge of data center infrastructure, pathways, racks, and cabling standards.
  • Ability to analyze technical workflows and translate them into structured learning solutions.
  • Strong organizational and instructional design skills with attention to detail.
