Project Duration: 6 months

About the role

Insulet’s Clinical roadmap includes a continuous cadence of algorithm updates that feed Insulet’s future product releases. This contract role owns the operational and process-improvement work behind clinical builds and studies — coordinating cloud surveillance, build deployment, and the cross-functional readiness each algorithm/product update depends on. Working closely with program leadership, this individual maps and documents new, repeatable processes so studies can be prepared faster and the same playbook reused across every update.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the cross-functional coordination needed to deliver clinical builds for algorithm updates, tracking dependencies and readiness across teams.
  • Map and document new clinical-build processes, beginning with the phone-reuse set-up process.
  • Establish repeatable device-capability processes for the iOS and Android phones used in clinical studies.
  • Define and document how studies use Pod OTA and FOTA firmware-update capabilities.
  • Create and maintain the procedures, checklists, and supporting documentation that clinical builds rely on.
  • Build a reusable content library so processes are defined once and reused across every algorithm update.
  • Coordinate cloud surveillance and monitoring for active clinical studies and drive timely resolution of issues as they arise.
  • Manage the deployment and rollout of clinical software builds across study environments and sites.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in science/engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or a related technical field — or equivalent professional experience.
  • Program or project coordination experience, ideally in medical devices, digital health, or another regulated (FDA / ISO 13485) environment.
  • Familiarity with mobile software builds and device management across iOS and Android.
  • Working knowledge of OTA / FOTA firmware updates and connected-device deployment.
  • Strong process-mapping and documentation skills — SOPs, checklists, and workflows.
  • Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, clinical, quality, and cloud/IT.
  • Comfort with cloud monitoring and surveillance concepts and dashboards.
  • Clear written communication, strong organization, and the ability to work independently with light direction.
  • Exposure to clinical studies, trials, or other regulated product operations is a plus.

Benefits

  • Supplemental medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance plans.
  • Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP).
  • 401K program with company match after 12 months of tenure.
  • Health Savings Account (HSA) on the HDHP plan.
  • SupportLinc Employee Assistance Program (EAP) with up to 8 free counseling sessions.
  • Corporate discount savings program and other discounts.
  • On-demand training program.
  • Access to certification prep, technical and leadership courses/books/seminars after 6+ months of tenure.
  • Certification discounts and association perks (e.g., CompTIA, IIBA).
  • Dedicated customer service team for consultants and a certified Career Coach.
