Associate Technical Designer, Soft Wovens

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Design and Production Development teams to define design intent and set up initial development specs for new styles
  • Measure and prepare samples for development and production fittings
  • Track samples and create fit lists weekly, scheduling accurate fit time with model agencies and cross-functional teams
  • Absorb and communicate clear fit/construction corrections to vendors via written instruction, flat measurements and digital images
  • Manage tech packs for product category from initial development through final production stage
  • Identify and communicate potential production, quality, and/or costing issues and provide recommendations and solutions
  • Communicate daily with domestic and overseas vendors to resolve fit and quality concerns within the development and production timelines
  • Support Technical Design Team to meet calendar deadlines
  • Maintain established standards, details, and integrity of the product
  • Participate in design, technical and cross-functional meetings
  • Responsible for shipping samples to factories
  • Assist Design Team with block library and additional projects aimed at improving fit and efficiency of the team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor, Associate, or Technical Degree in Patternmaking or/and Technical Design
  • 2-4 years technical design or pattern-making work experience
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, PLM systems, and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, patternmaking, grading, and fit
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities with accuracy
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for cross functional teams and vendor correspondence
  • Organization and time management skills and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively

Pay

The base salary range for this role is between $65,000 and $70,000. The relevant base salary will vary depending on wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training, degrees, and certifications.
