Associate Technical Analyst

About the role

Join a dynamic development and support environment interfacing directly with clients. FlexTrade is looking for a Client Services Developer to be a part of a rapidly evolving technology group supplying top quality solutions to our growing top tier Wall Street client base.

Responsibilities

• Develop client-specific features and improvements in Scala, Java, Linux
• Develop software monitoring and testing software solutions
• Investigate issues (using system logs, source code inspection, database querying, etc.)
• Answer email and (less frequently) phone calls from clients for general application support and troubleshooting

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science
• 1 to 3 years software development experience in Java (Scala is good to have but not required)
• Fluency in concurrent programming
• Fluency with the Linux/Unix command-line environment
• Strong SQL knowledge and skills
• Very good communication and interpersonal skills
• Prior financial services experience preferred
• Strong preference given to applicants with Buy-Side Order Management experience (but not required)
