About the Role
As an Associate Systems Test Engineer, you will lead and manage the execution of System Integration and Design Verification test programs while providing technical leadership and support to laboratory resources. This role involves close collaboration with Test Engineering Leads, development teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the successful planning, execution, and delivery of high-quality test activities.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for system test processes, methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of product software, firmware, and hardware architectures.
- Collaborate with Test Engineering Leads and development teams to plan, coordinate, schedule, and manage testing activities and projects.
- Design, develop, integrate, deploy, and maintain test systems, test environments, and test tools.
- Create, review, and execute both manual and automated test plans, test cases, and test procedures.
- Lead and manage system integration, verification testing, and test infrastructure build projects, including schedules, resources, equipment, and deliverables.
- Develop project budgets and identify capital equipment requirements.
- Provide technical direction, mentoring, training, and troubleshooting support to laboratory personnel.
- Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in STEM with 5+ years’ experience as a Systems Test Engineer in Hardware, Firmware & Software design and testing environments.
- OR Bachelor’s Degree preferably in STEM field of study (recent graduates are encouraged to apply).
Qualifications
- Background in system hardware, firmware, and/or software testing.
- Experience developing and executing test plans and test cases using test management tools such as Jira or similar platforms.
- Strong documentation, verbal communication, and presentation skills, including proficiency with collaboration tools such as Confluence.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Familiarity with test methodologies, automation frameworks, and software testing tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Experience testing large-scale or networked systems.
- Knowledge of IP networking, cloud technologies, and web services.
- Experience working with Embedded Linux environments and command-line interfaces.
- Familiarity with regulatory agencies, compliance requirements, and certification processes.
- Experience with fire alarm systems, life safety products, and related markets.
Pay
Base salary range: $73,019.00 to $85,905.00. Individuals may be eligible for an annual performance bonus based on both individual and company performance.
