About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Associate, Supply Chain Planning to support supply planning activities for the Writing Division. This role is responsible for seamless coordination of procurement activities, ensuring the timely acquisition of materials, management of the procurement process, fostering supplier relationships, and long-term planning.

Responsibilities

  • Supply Planning: Day-to-day execution of purchasing responsibilities for sourced finished good items to each region, including PO creation and management, vendor communication, and regional planner communication.
  • Innovation Planning: Support full path innovation planning process ensuring project readiness within each stage gate to support timely launch.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and reliable delivery of materials. Manage vendor delivery performance and analyze the root causes of delays to improve on-time delivery and flexibility.
  • Capacity Coordination: Create rough cut capacity plans based on global requirements and escalate issues and requirements for prebuilds.
  • Cross-functional Support: Partner with sourcing, regional planning teams, brand management, finance, and NPD project managers to align supply strategies with business goals. Support Sourcing product transition projects to ensure maximum productivity savings.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze supply chain data to identify risks, opportunities, and trends. Provide actionable insights through regular reporting and scenario planning.
  • Process Improvement: Lead initiatives to improve planning, system capabilities, and operational efficiency within the supply planning function.
  • Issue Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve supply disruptions, ensuring continuity of product flow and customer satisfaction.

Key Performance Metrics

  • Service Level Achievement: 95% of orders fulfilled on time.
  • Capacity Utilization: Manufacturing capacity effectively used and prebuild requirements identified and monitored monthly.
  • Cost-to-Serve: Total cost of delivering products to customers.
  • Innovation Launch: Executed on-time with 98% of orders fulfilled on time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in supply planning or related roles, preferably within a branded product environment.
  • Knowledgeable in advanced Microsoft Excel formulas and familiarity with ERP and planning systems (e.g., SAP, Kinaxis, Oracle).
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • High level of accuracy and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
