Associate Supplier Quality Engineer

Position Overview

QinetiQ US is seeking an Associate Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team and help ensure that our suppliers consistently deliver high-quality materials, components, and services.

Responsibilities

• Support the Material Review Board (MRB) process by reviewing nonconforming material, coordinating supplier responses, and ensuring timely closure of issues
• Work with suppliers to resolve missing, incomplete, or incorrect documentation, including certifications, inspection reports, and compliance records
• Aid in the initiation, tracking, and follow-up of Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs)
• Maintain supplier performance metrics, providing regular updates to the quality and supply chain teams
• Partner with cross-functional teams (engineering, supply chain, and operations) to resolve supplier-related issues
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance supplier quality and business processes

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
• 0–2 years of experience required
• Familiarity with AS9102 First Article Inspections
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Effective communication skills for working with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in quality engineering, manufacturing, or supply chain
• Background in DoD sub-tier supplier management
• Experience in highly regulated industries (aerospace, defense, medical device, or similar)
• Experience with ERP or quality systems
• Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar)
