Safety First

  • Maintain job safety for construction project(s).
  • Monitor subcontractors to ensure no one is allowed onsite without an Opus signed contract, insurance, and a safety plan.
  • Conduct regular jobsite safety meetings and maintain proper records and reports.
  • Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards as construction work progresses.
  • Complete safety surveys and checklists, as required.

Planning and Scheduling

  • Understand various construction disciplines and contribute to the establishment of budgets and scheduling of construction activities during pre-construction meetings.
  • Affirmatively obtain appropriate building permits.

Project Oversight

  • Participate in review and interpretation of plans and specifications and assure conformance by various subcontractors and trades.
  • Aid in the development and tracking of short interval and production schedules.
  • Identify and resolve schedule and resource conflicts.
  • Periodically review the submittal log to verify conformance & expedite deliveries.
  • Attend and participate in progress meetings & weekly subcontractor meetings.
  • Complete and process requisite paperwork correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain project files.
  • Assist with compilation of as-built drawings and close-out documentation.
  • Understand budget and assist with proper job and cost coding.

Team Supervision

  • Assist with coordination and supervision of subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with all team members.
  • Effectively train and supervise team.
  • Create and maintain productive working relationships with subcontractors.
  • Conduct daily review of means and methods of various subcontractors.
  • Administer and enforce Company policies.
  • Conduct regular jobsite meetings.

Quality Assurance

  • Monitor construction activities and take corrective action as necessary to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Ensure construction of the project conforms to plans and specifications, and project meets or exceeds the client’s expectations.
  • Effectively communicate observations, quality issues and make recommendations.
  • Assist with enforcement of all national and/or local building codes and inspection requirements.
  • Interface with specialty inspectors and/or consultants during site inspections.
