About the role
The Associate Store Manager (ASM) at United Dairy Farmers supports and assumes some of the responsibilities of the Store Manager. In the absence of the Store Manager, the ASM makes decisions about the store's operations, focusing on guest service and addressing operational issues.
Responsibilities
- Assigning/monitoring performance of duties, coaching The Hi Five Guest Experience, and training store associates
- Direct counseling of associates and input to Store Manager for counseling/discipline
- Screening interviews with applicants
- Training current and new associates
- Managing store administration including ordering, reviewing delivery reports, transferring products, and completing paperwork
- Ensuring the delivery of an outstanding guest experience, preparing dipsides, stocking merchandise, maintaining security, reporting accurately, and performing maintenance
Requirements
- Ability to communicate, hear, and understand English well
- Ability to see well enough to operate store equipment
- Ability to understand and operate store equipment
- Ability to prepare dipsides using supplies in the dip cabinets
- Ability to handle various payment methods and make change
- Ability to recognize and count numbers accurately
- Ability to lift and move merchandise
- Ability to tolerate cold and hot temperatures
- Ability to raise and place packages
- Ability to coach, teach, and train associates
- Effective communication and leadership skills
- Ability to recruit and select candidates
- Quick decision-making and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
Legally qualified to conduct all sales transactions including alcohol and tobacco sales.
Skills
Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills are essential.

Pay
$17.00/hr - $19.50/hr plus quarterly bonus eligibility.
Schedule
Full Time (40 hours per week); minimum of five (5) shifts each week including three (3) scheduled first shifts; minimum of two (2) second shifts which are opposite of the store manager’s schedule. Minimum of two (2) scheduled weekends per month.
