About the role
The Associate Staff Scientist position within the CUSToM Immunoengineering/Organoid Generation team is dedicated to advancing research and development in the field of organoid generation and immunoengineering. This role will involve collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to design, engineer, and test novel organoids and other bioengineered systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop new organoid models and bioengineered systems
- Conduct experiments to evaluate the functionality and potential therapeutic applications of organoids
- Collaborate with other scientists and engineers to integrate organoids into larger biological and medical research projects
- Write and publish scientific papers based on research findings
- Present research results at conferences and seminars
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Bioengineering, Immunology, Molecular Biology, or related field
- Experience in organoid culture and manipulation techniques
- Strong background in molecular biology and genetics
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of postdoctoral experience in relevant fields
- Publication record in peer-reviewed journals
- Experience with CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing technologies
Skills
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques including cell culture, molecular biology, and immunohistochemistry
- Knowledge of organoid culture and manipulation techniques
- Experience with bioinformatics tools and software
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Pay
$80,000 - $100,000 annually
Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
