Associate Staff Physician (Seasonal)

Responsibilities

• Provide evidenced-based medical evaluation and treatment in a fast-paced occupational medical practice.
• Conduct Department of Transportation examinations for commercial drivers.
• Render medical approval for workers to wear respirators.
• Determine OSHA recordkeeping and administer care for work-related injuries and illnesses.
• Outline a plan of care, provide therapeutic guidance, prescribe, and counsel.
• Work collaboratively with administrative, nursing, and disability management staff, as well as other medical providers.
• Interface successfully with a diverse population of Cast, management, and external medical providers.
• Report to the Chief Physician.
• Available for at least 2 shifts per month, including weekends, holidays, or weekdays to cover absences.

Requirements

• Current License to Practice Medicine in the State of California (MD or DO).
• Demonstrated experience in treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal disorders, laceration repair, dermatological conditions, and possible inhalation exposures.
• Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work with an Electronic Medical Record.
• Knowledge of OSHA recordkeeping rules, or willingness to learn.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• High degree of professionalism.

Qualifications

• Current License to Practice Medicine in the State of California (MD or DO).
• Board certification in occupational medicine/primary care/emergency medicine specialty.
• BLS Certification.

Pay

The hiring range for this position in Anaheim, CA is $111,300-$149,280 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
