Harrison Street is seeking to hire an Associate or Sr. Associate within our Infrastructure team that will focus on the firm’s infrastructure investment efforts. Candidates should be self-starters who possess excellent analytical skills, superior written, research, and oral communication skills, advanced Excel capabilities, and demonstrated experience building and maintaining complex financial models used for investment underwriting, valuation, financing, and asset management decisions. Critical industry skills include knowledge of the infrastructure sectors, project finance expertise, and overall investment acumen. The individual must be able to effectively allocate time between multiple immediate, short-term and mediumterm tasks, meet strict deadlines, and provide analytical support for multiple people within the firm. The position is available in the firm’s Chicago office. Responsibilities: Build from the ground up, maintain, and take ownership of detailed financial models and valuation analyses for prospective and existing infrastructure investments, including underwriting assumptions, financing structures, sensitivity analyses, and investment returnsLead financial modeling, underwriting, and analytical support for capital calls, financings, dispositions, refinancing opportunities, and capital improvement projectsSupport the origination, underwriting, and execution of investments in infrastructureManage closed investments and perform related asset management responsibilitiesParticipate in the annual business plan and quarterly valuation process for existing infrastructure investmentsPrepare investment opportunity proposals, summaries, and approval materials for team leadership and the firm’s Investment CommitteeDrive due diligence efforts relating to investment opportunities, both internally and with third party consultants and advisorsParticipate in the process of identifying and assessing the qualifications of new and prospective operating partners, and support structuring efforts for joint venturesInteract with joint venture partners on existing and prospective investment opportunitiesSupport the firm’s research team in the preparation and updating of white papers on specialty sectorsServe as a mentor to junior team members at the firmOther duties as assigned Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree is requiredPrior work in private equity or investment banking related to infrastructure investment or finance with a minimum of 3-6 years’ experience Associate, Sr. Associate - InfrastructureAdvanced financial modeling skills, including demonstrated ability to build, audit, and maintain complex valuation, project finance, and investment underwriting modelsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to draw conclusions from research and data analysis and communicate effectivelyHighly motivated, organized, disciplined and self-directed individual eager to learn all facets of infrastructure investment $150,000 - $190,000 a year For Illinois Only: The expected base salary range for this position is $150,000 to $190,000. Actual salaries may vary based on a number of factors, including skills, experience, and qualifications.
