Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate to join its Technology Finance team within the Commercial Bank's Sponsor Credit group, an industry leader in delivering innovative financing solutions for the software and technology vertical.
Responsibilities
- Partner with a senior portfolio manager to assist with portfolio management and credit underwriting for an assigned portfolio of technology-focused, primarily sponsor-backed clients, including:
- Performing transaction due diligence, financial analysis, and modeling
- Conducting credit analysis and monitoring
- Completing industry analysis and enterprise valuation
- Preparing credit memoranda
- Engage in regular client interaction and relationship management with CEOs, CFOs, and private equity sponsors for the assigned portfolio
- Collaborate with internal partners in commercial and investment banking to develop and execute relationship plans; attend relevant meetings
- Review credit agreements and other loan documentation; assist with legal diligence and negotiation. Develop proficiency in structuring, negotiating, and documenting facility agreements over time
- Regularly present credit and financial analysis to business leadership and independent risk management (IRM) in various forums, including portfolio reviews, pre-screen discussions, and credit/approval committees
- Participate in business and enterprise-wide strategic initiatives, including ad-hoc projects to improve team efficiency and effectiveness
- Collaborate with peers and functional partners to build internal relationships that enhance role effectiveness; leverage internal AI platforms to improve efficiency and apply best practices
Requirements
- 2+ years of Mid-Corporate Portfolio Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
Qualifications
- Experience in sponsor finance at a commercial bank, investment bank, or finance company
- Excellent proficiency in accounting and financial modeling
- Strong analytical skills with heightened attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Job Expectations
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Pay
$92,000.00 - $145,000.00 base pay range. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
