Associate Sourcing Manager - Denim

About the role
This is a hybrid role with three weeks per month onsite (Mon. - Thurs.). The fourth week is fully remote.
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with the Sourcing Manager to support product development and sourcing programs from concept through production.
- Manage timelines, costing, vendor communication, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure high-quality products are delivered on time and in line with business objectives.
- Own execution of product development with guidance from the Sourcing Manager, serving as a key liaison between Design, Merchants, and suppliers.
- Manage time and action calendars, including negotiating and analyzing vendor lead times to maximize flexibility and speed.
- Analyze and negotiate product costing, cost breakdowns, and minimum order quantity (MOQ) requirements.
- Support sourcing strategy for assigned categories, including identifying opportunities for new suppliers, factories, or markets.
- Aid in counter-sourcing and development initiatives to maintain competitive cost and lead times.
- Partner cross-functionally to resolve development and production issues.
- Participate in weekly Omni meetings to surface issues and drive resolution.
- Validate and coordinate liabilities and debit notes with internal partners.
- Support quality assurance by reviewing product testing reports and attending fittings as needed.
Requirements
- Experience in denim sourcing and development strongly preferred, including knowledge of washes, finishes, and denim fabric construction.
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience in sourcing, product development, or related area.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to prioritize work and operate independently while collaborating across teams.
- Proven experience building long-term supplier relationships and negotiating strategic agreements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with PLM and business systems preferred.
- Knowledge of garment construction and production is a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, apparel/retail merchandising, business, marketing or a related field.
