Associate Software Engineer (React Development)

About the role

We are looking for a talented software engineer with expertise in the React web framework to expand our ecommerce portfolio across domestic, international, and commercial spaces. You will implement features that meet business requirements while maintaining a healthy, sustainable, and reliable codebase.

Responsibilities

• Produce clean, readable, maintainable code in TypeScript and JavaScript
• Understand and convert business requirements into technical specifications
• Collaborate with peer developers and leads using tools for requirements refinement, pair programming, code reviews, and design reviews
• Work with other developers to create robust solutions and pair on complex problems
• Contribute to group objectives such as cross-product code reuse, developer experience improvements through automation, and operational stability
• Develop reusable components and modular code
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality
• Optimize code for e-commerce applications
• Analyze analytics data to help business partners optimize flows and increase conversion rates
• Contribute code using Git

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Technology, or a related field
• Experience developing web applications in JavaScript and TypeScript, with a focus on React
• Proficiency with modern React using hooks, context, and state management
• Typically requires 1 to 3 years of experience as a full-time developer
• Familiarity with Agile processes and the Scrum framework
• Experience using SCM tools like Git, GitLab, and GitHub
• Ability to work with some technical supervision
• Strong communication skills and ability to work on a distributed team using chat and collaboration software
• A strong advocate of clean code
