Associate Software Engineer- Infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Design and operate a scalable, resilient ingress data plane that directly impacts the value we provide to our customers.
• Ensure the stability and performance of our global service mesh and load balancing solutions.
• Drive the foundational reliability that the entire New Relic organization depends on to deliver real-time insights.
• Leverage advanced automation and infrastructure-as-code to accelerate development speed.
• Champion initiatives that break down silos and foster a culture of cross-team excellence.
• Evolving our DNS and CDN infrastructure to create a seamless, high-performance environment that enables innovation at scale.
• Deep collaboration with Product, Design, and partner platform teams to solve complex problems and accelerate digital transformation for our customers globally.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience with Go or Python programming.
• 3+ years of hands-on AWS cloud experience.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tooling (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and building pipelines.
• Experience with networking fundamentals (DNS, HTTP, TCP).
• Understanding of Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform).

Qualifications

• Nice-to-have: Experience with Envoy or comparable service mesh / L7 proxy platforms.
• Familiarity with observability tooling (New Relic, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry).
• Azure Cloud Networking experience.

Skills

• Go or Python programming.

Pay

The estimated base pay range for this role is $98,000—$123,000 USD. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related factors such as an applicant’s skills, qualifications, and experience.

Schedule

This role is eligible for a corporate bonus plan.

Pay

The estimated base pay range for this role is $98,000—$123,000 USD. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related factors such as an applicant’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
