Associate Software Engineer

The Associate Software Engineer is part of a team responsible for the development, support, testing, and release of our organization's web and mobile applications.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop new solutions as well as implement enhancements and updates to existing solutions along with fixing issues in the system independently.
- Use Agile methodology and project management software to collaborate with geographically diverse scrum teams.
- Develop, evaluate, and implement improved processes, methods, and tools to continually improve software delivery effectiveness.
- Quickly learn new technologies to support existing products as well as products on the strategic roadmap.
- Contribute to the software development life cycle, focusing on development, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging software solutions.
- Contribute to best coding practices and assist with code merges and releases.
- Develop unit and automation test scripts under the test-driven development lifecycle.
- Work comfortably both independently and collaboratively with others.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field preferred.
- Typically less than 2 years of experience in developing products and platforms using either UI or backend web technologies.
Skills
- Understanding of all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Software development experience with Java, Python, or other object-oriented languages.
- Experience with modern UI frameworks like AngularJS or ReactJS.
- Experience with service-oriented architecture, end-to-end UI/API integration, and knowledge of API protocols like REST, gRPC, and GraphQL.
- Familiarity with best coding practices and UI/backend architectures, and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of caching technologies and DBMS technologies like Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.

Pay
The salary range for this role in Atlanta, GA is $69,900.00 to $118,000.00. The candidate’s final salary offer will be based on skills, education, work location, and experience. A candidate’s compensation may also include bonuses consistent with TriNet’s corporate bonus plan.

Location
The preferred location for this role is Atlanta, GA. All qualified external applicants will be considered for an in-office role based in Atlanta.
