About the role
The Associate Software Developer is responsible for contributing to the development, maintenance and enhancement of our software applications. Responsibilities
- Produce clean, well-documented, high-quality code — applying coding standards, design patterns, and best practices — and continuously improve the technical health of the codebase.
- Ensure quality through automated testing and TDD, code reviews, defect identification and bug fixes, and assisting QA with reported issues to meet user story requirements and quality standards.
- Actively engage with the scrum team: collaborate on technical solution design, provide story-level estimates, meet commitments, ask questions, and raise concerns and risks early.
- Communicate and document effectively — demo functionality to stakeholders and maintain documentation of technical specifications, system architecture, and processes.
- Grow and support the team: learn and apply development processes under guidance of experienced developers, stay current with industry trends, fulfill your role in incident response, and complete all assigned annual training.
