About the role

PIMCO is seeking a Core Operations Senior Analyst to own daily reconciliations, investigate breaks, and drive timely resolution across key investment operation domains. The role requires strong portfolio accounting/IBOR knowledge, operational risk awareness, and the ability to partner across internal teams and external providers to resolve issues and improve controls.

Responsibilities

  • Own daily reconciliation, break investigation, and resolution across positions, cash, transactions, tax lots, P&L, and related investment data.
  • Identify recurring issues, perform root-cause analysis, and partner with internal teams, Technology, and external providers to reduce repeat breaks.
  • Monitor aged and high-risk breaks, escalate issues appropriately, and communicate key metrics, risks, and resolution status.
  • Support control standards, procedure documentation, process improvements, and change initiatives, including system migrations.

Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of operations, back-office, or reconciliation experience within asset management or investment banking.
  • Strong knowledge of IBOR, portfolio accounting, cash, positions, P&L, performance, fund accounting, and reference data impacts.
  • Experience across multiple asset classes, including fixed income, derivatives, and cash products.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and ownership skills in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
  • Advanced Excel and reconciliation platform skills required; SQL, Power BI, Alteryx, or experience preferred.

Pay

PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.

Salary Range: $82,000.00 - $105,000.00
