Associate Security Specialist

About the role

Primary support of an on-site security program focused on protecting people, assets, and brand integrity. Acts as liaison with law enforcement and regulatory agencies, and oversees on-site security technologies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security risk assessments and manage urgent security incidents.
• Lead investigations into workplace violence, security breaches, losses, fraud, or integrity concerns through interviews and evidence reviews.
• Serve as liaison with law enforcement and governmental regulatory agencies to support investigations and compliance efforts.
• Monitor security plans and technologies, including surveillance cameras and access control systems.
• Track and report on established key security program goals and metrics, addressing gaps or physical security concerns.
• Assist in training business partners on security best practices.
• Initiate on-site visits with customers to review and formulate action plans for security shipping concerns, including lost, pilfered, or damaged shipments.
• Maintain knowledge of regulatory areas, including TSA, FAA, company policies, and IC/ISP agreements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a directly related field (e.g., corporate security, audit, military, law enforcement, transportation, or supply chain loss prevention).
• Two (2) years of related experience in corporate security, audit, military, law enforcement, transportation, supply chain loss prevention, or loss analytics.
• Strong interpersonal communication, writing skills, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft-based computer programs and ability to prepare detailed reports.
• Ability to complete required training programs.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a company vehicle.
• Non-covered safety-sensitive position; must work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
• If required to carry a firearm, subject to random drug testing.
• Works in an industrial environment; must adhere to all safety considerations.
• Travel may be necessary.

Work location: Memphis, Tennessee. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.

Pay

$26.84/hr - $40.25/hr
