Associate – Securitization Private Origination, Specialty Finance
About the role
The Associate - Securitization Private Origination, Specialty Finance supports the Asset Securitization Group of TD Securities (USA) LLC. This role focuses on structuring, underwriting, and executing specialty finance securitizations and secured lending facilities.
Responsibilities
- Support the structuring, underwriting, and execution of specialty finance securitizations and secured lending facilities.
- Analyze collateral performance, credit quality, concentration risks, and historical loss trends to assess transaction risk and sizing.
- Build and maintain cash flow, borrowing base, and stress-testing models used for underwriting, credit approvals, and investor discussions.
- Review transaction documents and summarize key structural features, covenants, triggers, and risk mitigants.
- Prepare credit memoranda, transaction summaries, and internal approval materials.
- Cook up and coordinate with clients, legal counsel, rating agencies, investors, and internal teams throughout transaction execution and closing.
- Assist with due diligence, including collateral data analysis, portfolio reviews, and reconciliation of reporting packages.
- Maintain oversight of existing transactions, including collateral performance, covenant compliance, trigger testing, and portfolio trends.
- Support annual reviews, amendments, renewals, and new issuance opportunities across the portfolio.
- Develop client presentations, market updates, and specialty finance sector analysis to support origination efforts.
- Drive process improvements, reporting enhancements, and modeling automation initiatives.

- Reads and understands the Trading Supervision Standard.
- Demonstrates governance, control and risk management behaviors in alignment with TD policies and practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or specialized training / equivalent work experience.
- 3+ Years of related experience.
- FINRA SIE, Series 7 and 63 or willing to obtain.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, establishes priorities, and possesses strong communication, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Management experience and solid computer skills a must.
Preferred Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Business (Accounting or Finance) or Mathematics/Economics.
- 2-4 years of related experience.
- Proficient in interpersonal communication (both oral and written), and have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management.
