Associate, Secondaries, Venture Growth Evergreen
About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Associate to join our Venture Growth Evergreen (VGE) team to focus on secondary transactions in our New York office.
The firm has been investing in private markets since 2003 and launched its first dedicated private capital fund in 2014. Today, the privates team manages approximately $11 billion in assets and it is the fastest growing investment group within Wellington.
Responsibilities
- Involved in all aspects of the investment sourcing, underwriting, and execution process
- Core focus on deal-level modeling and underwriting for a broad set of investments across growth/venture secondary transactions
- Investments in LP transactions, GP-leds and secondary directs
- Work closely with others across our Private Investments team and the broader Wellington investment platform

Other Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of relevant experience in secondary investing, with a preference for experience across LP, GP and secondary direct transactions
- A track record of investing in growth & venture secondaries is preferred
- Strong financial modeling skills, confidence to build financial models from scratch and identify the correct drivers
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience in a team-based, results-oriented environment
- Independence of thought, high degree of intellectual curiosity, and an entrepreneurial nature
- CFA charter holder or progress towards CFA preferred

The base salary range for this position is: USD 80,000 - 150,000 This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education.
