Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service by offering product knowledge, answering questions, and making personalized suggestions
- Maintain product freshness through regular rotation and quality checks
- Restock and rotate displays to ensure visual appeal and freshness
- Package, label, and price self-service items accurately
- Cut and prepare seafood products according to company standards
- Clean and maintain scales, cutting areas, and prep stations
- Operate department equipment including knives, steamers, and scales safely and efficiently
- Assist with other tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Prior experience in seafood, grocery, or food service is strongly preferred
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic math and reading skills
- Strong attention to detail and visual presentation
- Team player with a positive, service-oriented attitude
- A passion for serving people
Physical & Work Environment
A Seafood Associate works primarily in the Seafood department. This role involves walking and standing for extended periods, lifting and moving products weighing up to 80 pounds, and working in a fast-paced retail environment. Frequent interaction with customers and fellow team members is an essential part of the role.
