About the Role
This is an onsite position requiring the team member to be onsite 5 days a week. No relocation is provided for this opportunity.
Job Summary
In this role, you are responsible for executing testing for both internal and external customers in a cGMP environment. A specific focus is given to support raw materials testing for West domestic and international manufacturing sites.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Proficient with basic established techniques, equipment, and/or test methods while following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- With guidance, assist in completing projects from initiation through completion.
- Actively participate in and complete all appropriate training tasks in a timely manner.
- Assist in preparation of work instructions, SOPs, and qualification documentation.
- Participate in lab investigations, OOS, and OOT as required.
- Meet individual and departmental goals and metrics.
- Make rational and sound decisions at an individual level.
- Adhere to established laboratory safety procedures.
- Follow required cGMP regulations and internal QA procedures.
- Willingness to learn and apply new analytical techniques.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Analytical Chemistry or a relevant scientific field preferred.
- High School Diploma required.
Work Experience
- No experience required.
- Experience working in a laboratory or cGMP/pharmaceutical environment preferred.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- cGMP / Quality Control environment.
- Analytical techniques such as FTIR, UV, Specific Gravity, pH, etc.
- Able to be aware of all relevant standard operating procedures as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description.
- Able to comply with the company's safety and quality policies at all times.
- Possess ability to work independently and as part of a team with self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
- Candidates must possess self-motivation and adaptability.
Travel Requirements
5%: Up to 13 business days per year.
Physical Requirements
Light-Exerting up to 20lbs/9kg of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force frequently constantly to move objects.

- Able to routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
- Position operates in a professional office environment. May stand or sit for extended periods of time.
- Able to communicate effectively with written and oral skills, make quick decisions, interpret data, read & write, speak in front of groups, express & exchange ideas, understand direction and adhere to procedures.
- Organizational skills will enable planning, prioritization & achievement of goals especially of importance for the successful execution of related activities.
