Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. 100% on-site at Catalent’s Madison, Wisconsin biologics development and manufacturing facility (726 Heartland Trail). The site specializes in mammalian cell line engineering, drug substance biomanufacturing, and biopharmaceutical development using single-use systems for scales from 50 to 4,000 liters. The facility houses Catalent’s proprietary GPEx® and GPEx® Lightning technologies and has recently expanded capacity with a $45 million investment.

About the role

Execute and document cGMP Quality Control testing with minimal supervision. Operate basic and moderately complex cGMP Quality Control equipment, review analytical data for accuracy, and enter data into the Laboratory Information Management System. Maintain laboratory cleanliness, perform preventive maintenance, and participate in team meetings and training sessions.

Responsibilities

  • Complete daily testing assignments within set deadlines
  • Perform assigned testing each day
  • Carry out lab cleaning duties on a weekly or monthly basis
  • Perform preventive maintenance on instruments
  • Dispose of any expired materials
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or related life sciences field with a minimum of 1 year of industry experience
  • Associate Degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or related life sciences field with a minimum of 4 years of industry experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 6 years of industry experience
  • Basic understanding of analytical chemistry and simple lab equipment
  • Familiarity with clean room procedure, aseptic technique, and general lab equipment experience
  • Knowledge of cGMP, Good Documentation Practices, or Good Laboratory Practices
  • Experience following standard operating procedures
  • General laboratory equipment experience, including micropipettes
