Job Description AbbVie Information Research is seekingan Associate DataScientist IIwho would contribute to the architecture, design, and development of the Data & Analytics Platform,supporting world-class research and development at AbbVie. AsanAssociateDataScientist, you will be a core member of a high-performance team of data engineersand architectsfocusing on driving technology innovation and continuous improvement. This role collaborates withsolutionarchitects, product owners, program managers, business analysts, infrastructureteams, and service providers to deliverdata and analyticssolutions. Associate DataScientistwould contribute to the architecture, design, and development of the fitfor purpose Data & Analytics solutionin a timely manner, under the direction of a more senior leader. Possess general understanding of software development and technology infrastructure with respect to data and analytics (Databases, Data integration, Data Warehousing, Data Analysis, Visualization Tools andMLOps) Responsibilities Perform routine tasks competently and independently and generate reliable and consistent results.Learn andunderstandvariousdataengineeringactivities,including data warehousing,master data management, data cataloging,systemintegration,datastreaming,datavisualization,dataanalysis, anddata ops.Learn andunderstandpharmaceuticalR&D/Life Science centric datasets.Produces andmaintainsrequired technical documentation associated with work products.Learn andcontributeto the architecture,design,development, andmaintenance oflarge-scaledata& analyticsplatforms, system integrations, data pipelines, data models & API integrations to support evolving business strategy.Understand and adhere to corporate standardsregardingapplicable Corporate and Divisional Policies, including code of conduct, safety,GxPcompliance, data security, and the software development lifecycle. Qualifications Required: Bachelors Degree or equivalent education,with2 yearsexperience; orMasters Degreewith 0 years experience.Must have experience withsoftwaredevelopment lifecycle.Experience with data analysis programming languages (e.g., SQL,Python&ApacheSpark,SAS & R).Knowledge and practical experience incloud platforms,Knowledge graph, Elastic search, datastreaming,and LLM models. Preferred Experience workingwithPharmaceuticalR&Dindustry-centric datasetsispreferred.Experience working with Cloud platforms,MPP engines, Graph databases and searchis preferred.
