Associate Scientist

About the role

Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company providing analytical testing services across industries. The Associate Scientist will be part of a growing team in a dynamic environment, performing high‑throughput screening experiments in support of drug discovery.

Responsibilities

• Executes 384‑well microplate biochemical assay measuring interactions between small molecules and various target proteins
• Utilizes liquid handling equipment such as ECHO, plate washers, V‑preps, BRAVO, WELLJET and other liquid handling equipment to accommodate high‑throughput screening operations
• Prepares reagents, performs reagent QC, and chemistry‑related calculations as needed
• Maintains consumables as needed
• Follows all SOPs as defined and communicated
• Participates in and presents at group laboratory meetings
• Performs other duties as required and assigned
• Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner; adheres to site employee health and safety (EHS) requirements
• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
• Owns the accountability and responsibility of delivering to client needs and timeliness
• Adjusts work hours as needed to meet deadlines

Qualifications

• B.S. in biological or physical sciences
• 0‑2 years of relevant industry experience in a laboratory setting
• Ability to read and interpret documents, such as SOPs and technical reports
• Ability to perform analyses and data interpretation
• Ability to multitask with organization and manage time effectively
• Ability to solve practical problems and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work in a laboratory setting according to the physical requirements of the role
• Lab equipment and office computer/software proficiency
• Above average oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrates a positive attitude and capacity for team environment
• Ability to troubleshoot and conduct small projects with minimal supervision
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Pay

$27/hr – $30/hr

Schedule

Full‑time, Monday‑Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, with additional hours as needed.
